B Lab is the non-profit network transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities and the planet

B Lab UK is a charity that launched in 2015. There are B Labs across the globe (forming the B Global Network) including Australia, East Africa, mainland Europe and North and South America. As part of this international network, B Lab UK leads economic systems change to support a collective vision of an inclusive, equitable and regenerative economy. Their purpose is to redefine success in business through building a community of engaged businesses, raising awareness of the B Corp Movement and influencing change in the UK economy.

B Corp is a movement of brilliant and purpose driven businesses who believe that business should be used as a ‘force for good’ and balance the needs of people and planet with profit. Becoming a Certified B Corp means the business meets high social and environmental performance that is measured every three years to retain B Corp status. Each business leader also makes a legal commitment by changing their governance structure to be accountable to all Stakeholders, rather than just shareholders.

By June 2023, there were over 6700+ B Corps globally and over 1800+ in the UK. With the support of B Lab, this number is rising every day as more businesses join the movement.

In July 2022, we submitted our B Impact Assessment (BIA) to B Lab UK and in June 2023 we became a Certified B Corp. You can read about our journey here.
